The Franciscan in San Francisco

The Franciscan located at Pier 43 in San Francisco has become one of Paris and my favorite places to eat while in San Francisco for either business or pleasure.

We go so much we have befriended one of the supervisors and do our best not to visit on Mondays or Tuesdays. Due to those days being his rdo’s which is police vernaculiar for regular days off.

The first of January 2009 was no different. A short five hour drive from Santa Clarita brought us and our family to San Francisco and I had our navigation set to take us to the Franciscan as our first stop, after we crossed the Bay Bridge.

When we arrived we parked in the Boudin parking lot. It has been our experience that the Franciscan validates parking. If you have not ever been to San Francisco you need to understand that parking is a huge concern due to it being at an absolute premium.

I dropped off my family at the sidewalk and parked. My family went in and were seated. When I went inside I first saw “Alex”. He had waited on us before and was a wonderful example of first rate customer service and attentive to our every whim.

We embraced as a couple of old friends and he directed me to the Table where my family had been seated. There were no open tables in Alex’a section but he reassured me that “Augustine” was fantastic.

Alex was right on target. Augustine was just wonderful. In fact the service was so good that I even took notice of “Israel” the bus boy. He was always clearing, filling and serving.

The Franciscan is a must see of you are visiting San Francisco. Stop by and ask for Alex and or Augustine. They are fantastic and will make you and yours feel special with the experience they offer.
